Flooding

Flooding.

Many roads leading to Tulla remain impassable or flooded this Thursday evening. Acting on advice from the emergency services, it has been decided to ask students to remain at home tomorrow. Unfortunately, it was not possible to use our 'text-a'parent' facility as our internet was out of action all day due to a technical problem with our broadband access. The intention is to have school as normal on Monday, however parents are asked to stay in touch with Clare FM throughout the week-end for any updates.

National Strike

Due to a national strike involving members of the ASTI, TUI and IMPACT trade unions, there will not be any school on Tuesday next, November 24th.

Bulgarian Folk Group

On Thursday 5th, a Bulgarian folk group visited the school and performed for 1st Years, TYs and Ms. Liddy's and Ms. Mulhern's music groups. They are all students in a secondary school in southern Bulgaria which specialises in the Arts and they entertained our students with performances of music, dance and song. Their music was played on native Bulgarian instruments, resembling our fiddle, flute and bag pipes

Under 161 Team in Munster semis

Following a great win over Kilmallock on Friday our Under 161 hurling team have qualified for the Munster semi-final, to be played in the next few weeks. In a game in which there were several St. Joseph's heroes, our boys emerged victorious on a score line of 5-10 to 1-5. There will be tougher matches ahead!
